Tubes

Tubes at Simply Green are pre-roll tubes in 5 lengths, 65 mm to 116 mm, closing with either a child-resistant screw cap or a hinged pop-top. 1 pre-roll travels in each, so the cone you already roll picks the length, and the market you sell into usually picks the closure.

Lengths in this set

• Screw cap, child-resistant: 65 mm, 100 mm and 115 mm. 100 pieces per case. Working from the usable depth inside, our estimate of the longest cone each one swallows is about 60, 95 and 110 mm.
• Pop-top: 98 mm and 116 mm. 500 pieces per case. The lid hinges open under a thumb and stays attached. Our same estimate here: about 93 and 110 mm.

Choosing between them

• Measure the cone first. Leave a few millimetres of clearance so it slides in and comes back out. A tube 5 mm short will not close on the cone you already produce.
• Then the closure. The screw tops need a press and a twist together and snap a tamper-evident band into place. The pop-tops seal on a ring moulded into the lid, with no band and no child-resistant mechanism, which is what makes them the lower cost per piece.
• Case size follows the closure. 100 per case on the screw tops against 500 on the pop-tops, so a busy line handles fewer boxes.
• Print area. Each length publishes its own panel, from 60 x 55 mm on the shortest to 57.5 x 105.5 mm on the longest, so artwork can be drawn before stock arrives.
• Colour. Screw tops: clear with a black or white top, all black, all white. Pop-tops: clear, black or white.
