The PAX Mini 2 heats by conduction, meaning the flower warms through contact with the stainless steel oven walls. PAX states it re-engineered the device with more oven capacity and expanded temperature control, in the same easy-to-clean design.

Use and maintenance
PAX specifies a dense pack for the PAX Mini 2: grind flower to a medium-coarse consistency and pack it tightly into the oven. The device is ready when the X on the front turns green.
The airpath is closed, so the Wire Brush in the box cleans it. The Multi-Tool packs the oven and removes material, and the 3 Oven Screens stop material travelling to the mouthpiece.
